Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and guest service-oriented individual to join our team as a Guest Services and Reservations Manager. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all reception-related operations, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction while adhering to Limes Country Lodge Hotel policies. You will be responsible for guest room allocations, reservations, and special requests, as well as managing the front desk and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all reception-related operations to ensure efficient and smooth front desk operations.
Block guest rooms and coordinate room allocations and guest preferences with various departments, such as Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Communications, and Engineering.
Prioritise guest satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
Manage guest reservations, including room bookings, cancellations, modifications, and special requests.
Welcome guests, check them in and out of the hotel and provide them with room keys, pamphlets, and discount vouchers.
Address guest inquiries, provide information about the hotel and its amenities, and arrange transportation as needed.
Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
Run various reports on the computer system for management, including in-house, arrival, departure, and room status reports.
Ensure the front desk area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout the day.
Respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties, redirecting as necessary.
Maintain a positive and professional image of the organisation, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Assist in the administration of the events in conjunction with the sales team.
Requirements:
Previous experience in hotel reception and reservations is required.
Strong guest service orientation with exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with different departments.
Proficiency in computer systems and software, including reservation management systems and Microsoft Office.
Professional appearance and demeanour, with a positive attitude and ability to handle demanding situations with patience and grace.
